Our Music Education Center is composed of a professional teaching and excellent management staff. We are willing and able to answer questions and help with any situation, and to provide the ideal music learning situation for you. Our classrooms
are new, clean and equipped with quality instruments and learning materials to
ensure an optimal educational environment for our students. We are prepared to
teach any student, any proficiency level, RCM, Yamaha, or casual method, and many musical styles. We also have respectable payment plans and policies. Please

GROUP LESSONS are a unique program designed to give the best possible beginning
for musical enjoyment and the development of basic musical skills.

PIANO LESSONS at an early age teach the fundamentals of note reading, rhythmic notation, and basic principles of harmony which help establish a universal technique
of learning and understanding music.

GUITAR LESSONS emphasize traditional note reading and musicianship while incorporating popular music to keep students interested to come to lessons and
motivated to practice at home.

VIOLIN LESSONS provide training that includes bowing technique, posture and correct position on the fingerboard.

VOICE LESSONS teach the student how to sing with proper breath support by breathing from the diaphragm.  Skill development including pitch accuracy, range, style, stage presentation and musicianship are taught in preparation for auditions and competitions.

THEORY LESSONS are available for all levels in preparation for RCM theory examinations.

LESSON BOOKINGS can be made any time.  Reservations for fall schedule are accepted during June-August with a minimum deposit of four lessons.

TEACHING STATEMENT

Recent University studies shows that music lessons
improve math and science skills. Our Music Education
Centre is designed with this in mind. As well, Yamaha
teaching methods foster teamwork skills that are important
for success in life. The unique Yamaha approach develops
creative abilities through composition, arranging and
improvisation. Yamaha Music School students perform their
own compositions at home, across Canada and on the stages
of the world.
